Arithmetic Test 7 Monday 8th June

Work your way through the arithmetic test at a time when it suits you. Some questions you will be able to answer mentally, some you will have to work out on paper. Use the space provided below the question or do any working out on a piece of paper. Think about which mathematical diagrams you can use to help you work out the answer.

In addition to the activities above we ask that pupils spend time every day on TimesTable Rockstars.

R.E - The Church is Born

Week 2

Learning Objective – Know that the disciples realised that God could work through them.

Read the story of ‘The man who could not walk’ (images below) and discuss what Peter and John were thinking when they told the man to walk.

Why did they say they could not give him any money?

What do you think the man said to them?

What will the man say to his friends and family?

Explain that the disciples were now on their own and eventhough they had received the Holy Spirit, they could not see Jesus so had to keep trusting that he would help them. Discuss things that we know are there but cannot see (electricity, love, time etc.) but we trust that they are there.

Writing Task

Think about how we can help others without using money. Draw a coin in the middle of your page and write around the coin all of the different ways to do this. You might write things such as being kind, helping someone when they fall over, looking after someone who is upset etc.

Our science work will be about plants this half term. This unit is designed to take two lessons so will be for this week and next. Enjoy discovering what you can about plants in your homes and outside!

An art adventure with Pablo and his friends

This Live Lesson for 5-7s was created in collaboration with the CBeebies series Pablo, the first animated TV series to star an autistic character and the first TV programme with an all-autistic core cast.

Pablo uses his magic crayons to turn his life challenges into fantastic adventures and his feelings into colourful characters with a voice.

In Pablo's imagination, just about anything can happen.

In this Live Lesson, hosted by Cbeebies presenters Joanna Adeyinka-Burford and Ben Cajee pupils are guided through fun drawing exercises with the help of Pablo Art Director Bob Price.

Children learn how to recognise different facial expressions and emotions before being encouraged to draw their own character in the style of Pablo.

This edited programme was first streamed live to schools in October 2016.

Pablo Activity 1: Happy and Sad expressions

Pablo Activity 2 : Annoyed and surprised expressions

Pablo Activity 3: Draw your own character
